You might have asked yourself where the name "Kenkou" comes from for a dog training service and why it's used... Here's what's behind it:
"Kenkou" is Japanese and means "health". Of course, the goal of my dog training services is to enable a healthy relationship between owners and their dogs. But there's a second reason for the name.
In addition to my qualification as a dog trainer I am also a certified animal-Shiatsu therapist. Shiatsu is one of the oldest Asian forms of therapy and comes from Japan. The translation of "Shi-atsu" means "finger pressure", although not only the fingers are used, but sometimes the whole hand, ellbow or full body.
